Christian was born in Germany, grew up in Brazil, and in 1992 graduated from NYU, with a double major in German Literature and Economics and a minor in Photography. After a year of further studies in photography at the New England School of Photography, he went on to work as a photo assistant in Boston and New York City. He moved back to Brazil in 1994 and began his career as a commercial and editorial photographer. In addition to various personal photography projects, he has also started an online magazine called DengueMag. Christian lives between Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo and Berlin.
