NJF Team6 years ago designer Lucia Vergara, decided to start her own company after getting experience at Lydia Delgado and Ailanto, which resulted in the birth of one of our favourite brands in the city. Joyful, playful and casual – this is how we perceive not only the brand’s 2016 collection but also Barcelona lifestyle, where Après Ski has been based since 2009.
The story behind the company is that it reflects two different aspects of today’s fashion market needs. Of course as you may see in its newest look book it represents vintage, retro aesthetics which mixed various trends in the past. However in a way products are also sustainable and attract Après Ski clients with the real materials used in most of the designs that come from 40s and 80s. Lucia makes sure that all the elements are crafted by hands with passion for detail and the highest quality.
What is to be adored in Lucia’s designs is that her collections are ageless and casual. They’d perfectly suit a young romantic woman as well as their self-conscious mothers with more defined style. The same we may say about the occasions, from weekend to exhibition opening at gallery. We cannot image a situation where Après Ski would be really inappropriate. They key to this universal character maybe be focus on nature cycle in the design process that is said to be the most important for Ms.Vergara.
